Over the past few days I have been talking about supplements essential for living a healthy lifestyle. Well supplements that can help give your health a bit of a boost. Now I want to talk about some of the Best Supplements for Energy there are.
I personally have used various supplements over the years and still use my Multi-Vitamins & Fish Oil, and also have my protein shake to hand to get an extra meal in when I need it.
Here is a run down of some of the Best Supplements for Energy as we all need a bit of a boost sometimes.
This is a brilliant vitamin which is important for making red blood cells, and helps the processing of folic acid and is brilliant for energy and tiredness. This is the vitamin which helps in the process of converting food into energy. Vitamin B12 can be found in foods that we eat when keeping within a healthy diet. These can include food such as Meat, Fish (especially cod), Milk, Dairy and Eggs. In taking vitamin B12 supplements for energy, try to find one with methylcobalamin for increased absorption.
One of the most effective way of getting more Vitamin D is through direct sunlight. Exposure to early morning sun just for a few minutes can be enough for your days requirement of Vitamin D. Whilst in some countries like UK where I live sunny days can be very few and far between so taking a Vitamin D Supplement is ideal. This is very important for synthesis pf phosphate and calcium in the body. Like B12 this can also be found in some foods such as eggs, fish such as salmon, mackerel and sardines.
This vitamin is also great for lifting your mood, have you ever noticed how much happier people are when its sunny outside?
This is also known as the ascorbic acid. This is a vitamin that cannot be produced by the body so it needs an extra bit of help. Vitamin C is a little helper of protecting the cells of our body, it helps in healing our body and also helps boost our immune system. Vitamin C supplements have been found to lower blood pressure in both healthy adults and adults with existing high blood pressure and is essential for healthy tissue and organs. Foods are actually rich in Vitamin C are citrus fruits, chilli peppers, green leafy vegetables, broccoli, and strawberries.
It can also be called pyridoxine and is important for our bodies. Vitamin B6 helps our bodies to store and utilize energy form carbohydrates and proteins to be used at a later stage. It also helps in the formation of haemoglobin, which are the cells that carry oxygen in the blood. B6 can also be found in various foods such as pork, chicken (one of my personal favourites), fish, vegetables, milk, peanuts, and potatoes.
The vitamins listed above are some which are great additions to a healthy lifestyle. These vitamins can be obtained from either the food we eat or from additional supplementation. All of these vitamins I feel are perfect for creating more energy and great additions for that little boost.
This is bridging the gap from what are getting to what we should be getting into our diet. Always remember that they are just supplement and should only be used as something added to a healthy lifestyle and not instead of.
